VISIA – THE GOLD STANDARD FOR UNDERSTANDING YOUR SKIN

VISIA, a technology from the United States, provides a standard skin analysis used in medical research to compare the effectiveness of treatments before and after the procedure.

Reveal Your Skin's True Age with VISIA

The true age and health of your skin are factors that no naked eye can detect. However, with VISIA – the most advanced skin analysis device today – eight key skin-aging issues are clearly and accurately displayed on the screen. This allows doctors to create precise treatment plans tailored to each individual skin type.
The VISIA skin analysis system can easily capture and analyze facial images from the left, right, and front angles.

  • Spots
Spots are characteristic of skin lesions that are brown or red in color, including freckles, acne scars, hyperpigmentation, and vascular lesions. They are distinguishable by their color and contrast with the surrounding skin. Spots vary in size and are usually round in shape.

  • Pores
Pores are circular openings on the skin's surface from sweat glands. Due to shading, pores appear darker than the surrounding skin and are recognized by their darker color and round shape. The VISIA system differentiates between pores and spots based on size; pores are much smaller than spots.

  • Wrinkles
Wrinkles are folds or creases on the skin, commonly seen on the face as signs of sun exposure and are related to the loss of skin elasticity. This feature varies significantly from photo to photo, as it depends largely on the customer's facial expressions during imaging. Wrinkles are identified by their distinct long and narrow shape.

  • Evenness
Evenness refers to an analysis of skin texture. It measures the texture and tone of the skin by recognizing gradual changes in skin tone, as well as peaks (represented as yellow dots in the VISIA analysis) and valleys (represented as blue dots) on the skin's surface, reflecting changes in the skin's texture.

  • Porphyrins
Porphyrins are bacterial secretions that often accumulate in pores, leading to acne. Porphyrins fluoresce under UV light and appear as white spots in the VISIA analysis.

  • UV Spots
UV spots occur when melanin clumps beneath the skin's surface due to sun exposure. These spots are often invisible under normal light conditions. Selective absorption of UV light by melanin in the epidermis enhances their appearance in VISIA images.

  • Brown Spots
With Canfield’s exclusive RBX technology, consultants can visualize brown melanin spots in the skin. This feature is of particular interest to dermatologists and skin care specialists as it aids in monitoring and effectively treating hyperpigmentation, a major skin concern for many people today.

  • Red Areas
Canfield's RBX technology also helps visualize vascular lesions through the appearance of red lines. Treating these vascular lesions is a key part of comprehensive skin rejuvenation.
